I have glaucoma so I have become an expert in polarized sunglasses. Second pair of Maui Jim and they are easily the best sunglasses I have owned. The optics are fantastic, and the quality of the glasses is just exceptional. They are expensive but truly worth the money. You won't be sorry or disappointed.

Great sunglasses, but crappy case.

I bought this same model of Maui Jim's in the BVI's about ten years ago. The sunglasses have endured ten years of heavy use, with no apparent wear or damage. Great quality sunglasses! With that pair came a zip closed hard case, which has also held up great. Last year in Kona, I bought a second pair of these same glasses, but this time they came in a cheaper folding case (but the glasses DID fit in the case). I just received another pair of these same glasses from Amazon (had to have a pair for in the RV!) But alas, this pair came with an even cheaper folding case, and the glasses are just slightly too large to allow the case to close and stay latched magnetically. So, bottom line: Still GREAT quality sunglasses, but ever cheaper cases. Had to knock off a rating star for that part.

Don't leave home without them

I wear them every day on a string around my neck and am lost without them. Put a scratch on one lens the first week, don't know how, nothing else in two years of every day use.

My MJ Stingray in the tortoise with HCL lenses has just been dethroned. The Peahi literally looks like its bigger brother. When you hold these in your hand you feel like your holding a million bucks, such high quality throughout. Love the robust spring hinges, full coverage from the sun, real glass lenses that are polarized and are blue-light blockers, and really comfortable on the face, what is not to love? Get them!

Bought my first pair in 1983 at the Ala Moana shopping mall in Honolulu. I was a commercial fisherman for 5 yrs in Hawaii, lobster were 500-1000 miles north of Oahu. Being offshore for up to 70 days straight per trip, working a white deck on a 95ft boat, in the south pacific all day was all about being protected from the elliments. Having and wearing the Best POLORIZED sunglasses saved me, my Maui Jims were essentially the best piece of equipment that I had. To this day, im sold, and I refuse to wear anything else. Clarity is the Biggest Feature! HD for your Eyes!

These are the second pair of Maui Jim Peahi Wrap's I've owned. Seeing that we currently have to wear a face covering during this Covid-19 pandemic, this particular model, you will see some fogging of the lens because of the fact they are glass. If the lenses are cold and you put them on with a warm face, they will fog a little do to the fact of the glass lens. Having said that, I'm not aware of a better clarity and polarized lens on the market and you get that because OF THE GLASS instead of a plastic material. Best time of year to use and view through them in my opinion is during the fall season. If you live in an area that you can experience the changing of leave colors, these will impress you no doubt! Having accidently, after having these for over 10 years, sat on my previous pair a few weeks ago, caused one of the lens to crack. Even then, they did not break but caused a viewing obstacle which was rather annoying. I couldn't convince myself to get anything other then the same pair. I will also say the tech in the lenses has improved from my previous pair. Sorry for the long review, just think these sunglasses deserve a proper review. There, I've said my peace. Buy these, you won't be disappointed!

Maui Jims are a bit pricey but worth the money. If you do break a lens or scratch it, you can return it and receive a new pair of lens for $75. I work outside in construction and these are the best shades I have found. Yes I do break alot of lens and have about 6 pairs of these so that I am never without a pair. Simple the easiest company to work with and great sunglasses.

Best Sunglasses I've ever owned .

This is my second pair of Maui Jim Peahi Sunglasses and they are by far the best sunglasses I've ever owned. I had my first pair for 5 years and finally lost them overboard. Knowing there was no getting them back, I purchased a new pair that day. The HCL Bronze lenses block out the sun perfectly on a clear day, but allow enough light so that you don't need to take them off when driving through a long tunnel. I have a pair of Costa's with lenses specifically for the Water, and these do just as good a job blocking out glare and allowing me to see below the surface - plus I can see my Chartplotter / Fishfinder from any angle. If you're a boater, you know how difficult it is to find sunglasses which will offer all of this.

Unreal product and price

Awesome sunglasses at an incredible price. I was surprised they were the real deal. These came with lenses which are not very dark, which for me is perfect for bass fishing in sunny or overcast weather. I am still able to see well into the water. I have a slightly large head and these have a great fit and feel without being too heavy. Although if you wear them for 12 hours straight they will begin to hurt your ears and nose just like any pair of glasses with glass lenses.

This is my second pair of Maui Jim Sunglasses, but my first Peahi pair. After much research and testing of quality and functionality, i find that these Maui Jim's are in a class of their own. Dual polarized, glass lenses give great protection and vision in all daytime shades. The hinged arms are a feature that is a must especially if you head is a little big. They feel strong and durable and have the best wrap for added eye protection. They also look great and have a different look than other brands. After handling and trying on Costa's that have a lightweight plastic feel "Cheap", i must say that for the same price, Maui Jim has the best quality out there. It is a must for all who love quality and style.

Awesome Quality glasses

After having cornea eye surgery - my surgeon insisted that because I am a surfer I must wear a quality lens, and that these lenses from his perspective were the best. He also had equipment in-house to actually test one pair of glasses vs another and well being an engineer - the results were very clear. The Maui Jims were so obviously better than the glasses I had been using.
So after using these now for almost a year - I absolutely love these glasses. The are so strong and sturdy but have the best eye protection.

Wish I got these years ago

I've had multiple pairs of oakleys and a few other brands of sunglasses and the quality, clarity and visibility on these are phenomenal! They seem to have a rose colored tint to them so everything red really stands out, but all other colors are vibrant too. I wish I got these years ago. Maui Jim gained a fan and customer for life with these!

My husband is outside most of the day and in S. Florida, that often means lots of bright sunshine. And because he has a condition commonly known as "surfer's eye", it's very important for him to wear polarized lenses. All Maui Jim sunglasses are polarized and these are his 3rd pair (he just wanted another color). These glasses are pretty durable too...he tries to be careful but the sunglasses take a beating sometimes and yet still look fantastic! He also says they're really comfortable, which is sometimes difficult for him because he has lots of thick hair and his head is kind of big. ;)

not only did the price beat retail by at least $50, this pair of sunglasses is pretty cool. there are hinges that work backward (allows you to open wider without damaging the frame or hinges). I really like the color. The polarized bronze lenses are new to me. I notice that some tinted car windows appear funny. Also, gas station screens are sometimes blacked by the glasses. They add more of a yellow tint than a real darkening of whatever you are looking at. I wear sunglasses whenever it is sunny due to my sensitive eyes. These work just fine in the bright AZ sunlight.

Cannot beat Maui Jims

Love Maui Jims glasses. These didn't fit as well as I would have liked so I returned them and went with the World Cup model but that's no knock on the Peahi. I wouldn't trade my MJs for anything.

By far the best quality lens and frames I've ever bought. They make Oakly's look like cheap Chinese garbage. They seem better quality then my Costa's. I've only had them a few weeks but the glass wipes clean easily, the frames and hinges work and fit perfectly. Great water visibility when looking for sand bars or bait fish in Moriches bay. And they come with the hard and soft case. If I don't loose these I think they'll last a long time.

These sunglasses are fantastic in the fit and finish department. The clarity of the lenses is fantastic also. I have a big head and these fit me comfortably I could wear them all day if necessary. These are very bright driving glasses so if you are looking to mute the sunlight more than just a little these are probably not a good choice.

This is my second pair of the Peahi glasses. The first pair I had for a couple of years and still looked and felt like new before my puppy spent the night chewing on them. She tried to destroy them but only managed to leave tooth marks all over the frames. Very sturdy construction. The polarized lenses helps increase visibility in foggy conditions and the larger size of the Peahi works great for wind protection while riding my motorcycle. I kept my old pair for spare parts. The pup failed to damage the lenses. My new Maui Jim Peahi glasses are kept in a safer place.

Very comfortable. Had these glasses for about a month and somehow broke one of the lenses. Sent them back to Maui Jim for repair. Replaced both lenses for free. Great pair of glasses and great company. Will probably never but another brand of sunglasses.

Great Glasses--Incredible coverage and AWESOME optics!!

Another RAVE for MJ's crisp optically intense glass lenses in the Bronze HT. I wear multifocal contact lenses--which compromise your distance vision a little--and these really help to make my distance vision more defined and sharp; the contrast more intense for clearer distance vision. And the Bronze is good in fog and overcast--I still probably prefer a gray lens for intense summer sun, but for the protection and crisp vision the Bronze gives in varying conditions (like here on the California coast), I only wear the Bronze and gave up gray lenses a few years ago. After wearing these glass lenses, trying to go back to rimless poluycarbonate lenses is hard--the vision is so much better with the glass...!The Peahi fits medium to large faces the best. The coverage on this frame is GREAT. It really WRAPS and very little light can leak in at all. I have and use the MJ Stingray too--very sexy pair of shades--but the coverage and protection the Peahi offers is much superior. But I have a larger head and face, and can contend with the shades resting on my top cheeks, and the long temples fit way back beyond my distant ears just perfectly. A smaller petite person might find this pair just too big--and MJ makes so many wonderful styles, they can easily find one that is smaller and fits much better.I like the matte black frame too--very sleek and allows the slightly mirrored Bronze lenses to really stand out.These are the sunglasses I end up wearing 90% of the time--despite having much more sexy and trendy and classier styles. The coverage and lenses are just so easy to love with on the Peahi, so I just adore them...!Also, I've dealt with MJ warranty in the past and they are great--they always fix them for cheap prices and fairly quickly and no questions asked...!

The best company bar none for sunglasses in my opinion. I have had Maui Jims for somewhere between 15-20 years and this is my favorite model of them all. It's comfortable, stylish and just feels good. The frames wrap a bit around the edges blocking sunlight from the sides as well. I use them from everyday driving and walking to skiing and biking even though they are not specifically a sports model.I have also had this model several times in both the "tortoise" frames and the white. In the long run I believe I like the tortoise better but these are also really nice and give a nice change in pace.

These are the best sunglasses I've ever owned, my eyes actually feel relaxed when wearing them and it brings out the colors in everything you look at. Worth every penny!!

My favorite sun glasses

I love the Peahi Sunglasses. My first pair were lost at a restaurant in Atlanta and I had forgotten how much I love these glasses until I purchased these. Nice work Maui Jim!

I'm on the fence about these

Mine did not come with a cleaning cloth, I probably should call the company - because regular cloths just don't do that great of a job. I feel the lenses are always a little cloudy. And if I wear them as designed, my eyelashes touch the lens (no I don't have particularly long lashes) I can't say I'm a total convert to Maui Jim sunglasses yet. . . have had them about 4-5 months. These are borderline "not feminine" . . but I use them for everyday casual use. My daughter is urging me to get another pair for 'dress up'.

I bought these for my husband after he had lost his first pair because he was so upset that no other sunglasses compare to, Maui Jim's. He loves their quality and goes no where without them.

Life is beautiful through maui Jim lenses!

The white frame is lighter than the black one. That's all there is to say about the frame. I'm bought these for the lenses. I spend plenty of time working at beach and these lenses are the best ever. Life and other people seem more pleasant when I wear them. Oakley and revo, same company, are good too but just a distant second.

Terrific buy

Have had many pairs of MJs. These are no less than my favorites so far; very contemporary style, and great for riding the Harley due to the design and fit. Very happy!

Made for him!

I ordered these sunglasses for my husband for Christmas. They are very well made and fit his head perfectly. He has a rather large head and strong jaw line. These glasses were made for him! Very, very pleased.

Worth the extra money

Earlier this year I had LASIK laser eye surgery, the results were incredible. I needed a nice pair of sunglasses to protect my 'new' eyes. I quickly found that amber lenses greatly improve the clarity and reduce glare. Charcoal colored lenses seem to offer a bit more protection from the sun but are not as sharp as amber. My vision is now extremely sharp. When I put these on sometimes I find myself looking at mundane objects with great interest. It is like the first time you see a blu ray movie, you can not get over the clarity. These are a bit heavier than other glasses I've worn, so I won't be running with them. The wide frame and lens provides zero obstruction and blind spots. Lastly, they look cool. I didn't buy these on Amazon , but I got a good deal locally for about the same price. I am going on 4 years with Prime and couldn't be happier with Amazon though!

Best pair of sunglasses!!

These are a fantastic pair of sunglasses! The optical clarity of the glass lenses can't be beat. The fit ,right out of the box, is perfect...they feel great even for all day use. I work at a water park in Orlando taking photos and videos and I am in the sun for most of the day. I have to have excellent UV blockage especially considering the glare off the water. I also need to have the best distortion free optics that protect my eyes from all angles and the peahi model satisfies this need perfectly. I can't imagine what I'd do without my Maui Jims, my hat or my sunblock!

My husband loves these glasses

He actually had bought a pair from the mall and lost them. He HAD to have another pair, so I bought them online because they were a little cheaper. He loves them, and he looks great in them.

Exceptional

These sun glasses wrap around one's face leaving no areas where light can pass. Although a solid frame they are about half the weight compared to my other pair of solid frame Maui's. The bronze lens brings life to every color. Out of the eight pairs of Maui's these are my favorite by far. For those that require prescription lens they are available.

Awesome Shades

I love these sunglasses. However they are very expensive but I suppose you get what you pay for. Very high quality frames and glass lenses. No comparison to cheap glasses. I have a problem with losing expensive glasses and hope I don't lose these.

Exceptional.

I have 3 other Maui jims with blue and grey lens, which are great, but this perticular pair with the matte black finish and hazel lens is awesome. These are great summer sunglasses due to the hazel lens, because while in bright sun light the glare is diminished and everything seems in natural light. The matte finish is very durable but shows oily skin and sunblock.

Great sunglasses, and easy return process, I am very satisfied with them and my final purchase!
